A rainy weekday afternoon set the scene for Clayton and Mae's intimate Capitol elopement to help celebrate their love and tell their story. The walls of their apartment warmly hosted their most treasured family members to toast in celebration, laugh and reminisce about their sweet love. Downtown Madison, WI was a moody, grey and rainy and added a care free element to their intimate day.

Clayton and Mae are sweet, private and quiet souls who wanted a wedding that reflected personalities and allowed them to soak in the moments without the stress of planning a traditional sized wedding. Their vision for their day was to be surrounded by their immediate family to help them celebrate their love and participate in their intimate wedding ceremony at the Madison, WI Capitol Building. Being fully present with their people, leaning into their embraces and exchanging sweet smiles, were part of what made their day so personal.

Downtown Madison is absolutely stunning in the fall, the rainy day added a magical touch to their portraits and allowed them to snuggle up and join each other in laughter as they ran through the streets, embraced each other in a setting that was straight out of a Rom-Com.
